“A Southern Songwriter Summons Her Ghosts”

I was profiled this past week on Beacon Pass, a really cool arts and culture guide with listings of upcoming events around town. Check it out right here! James Rickman, the author of the write-up, says my music sends “chills that runs laps around your spine when you listen to her simple, haunting songs” and makes mention of how my writing is steeped in the tradition of great Southern writers. Both comments, I greatly appreciate. In addition to being the Online Editor in Chief at Unveiled Arts, the org behind Beacon Pass, James writes a really nice blog called Mischief & Mayhem which is a publishing collective devoted to nurturing and promoting very original and distinctive voices in literature, “especially those that fall outside of commercially acceptable notions of literature”. I say Hear Hear to that! Nothing like great writers!
Make sure to join me at The Knitting Factory Brooklyn on Tuesday Feb 1st at 7pm sharp as part of the Acoustic Singer Songwriter Rock and Popcorn Series. Get your tickets ahead of time right here.
